This fair-sized pub is situated next to Rawcliffe Caravan Park and opened in very early 2004. The entire pub, both outside and in, is extremely clean and well presented. Their beers include Bomber and the excellent Deuchars IPA. Their menu sounds excellent too, but I've not tried it myself. The name of the pub comes from the fact it is built on what was once the Clifton Aerodrome where the No. 4 Squadron were apparently equipped with Lysander aircraft until 1942. Overall, I was impressed with this pub, and would be very happy to visit it again.
