Renamed and tranformed into a rock cafe, serving a wide range of cocktails. Can be very noisy on a Friday/Saturday night. I think they serve food too, but I've not tried it. This pub used to be called 'The Micklegate' (part of the Firkin Pub company), and used to serve a range of excellent-quality bitters, and food all day (until closing), the quiz on Sunday night used to be quite good. Before that, this pub used to be Scruffy Murphy's -- a popular Irish-Themed bar.
