Quite a busy, wide pub. The music is far too loud on a Friday/Saturday night. They usually have special offers on drinks. It used to be the Phalanx and Firkin (one of the '..and Firkin' pubs), but changed its name in Feb 2003 -- the only other changes seem to be a new sign, new paint job and they got rid of the 'barrel with rope' tables they used to have.
