A popular pub, right at the top of the 'Micklegate Run' (and often chosen as a starting point). Can get a bit too busy. This pub was taken over by JD Wetherspoons in 2002, and since has the usual great value for money range of food and beers (not always the best quality beers) that you expect from a Wetherspoons pub.
